Hello art lovers!
We, the Barbourne Artists, a collective of five artists deeply rooted in the heart of Worcester, are thrilled to invite you to our vibrant Spring Exhibition, currently in full swing at the iconic Artery Studios! The exhibition runs from Wednesday, May 14th to Sunday, May 18th, 2025, so don't miss your chance to see it!
Each of us brings a truly unique artistic voice to the exhibition:
- Jane Arthur composes stories from fabric, thread, and paint.
- Caroline Hall captures wildlife, landscapes, and florals in her paintings and pottery.
- Cherrie Mansfield creates bold, abstract works inspired by jazz.
- Margaret Powell, a classically trained artist, captures still life flower paintings and Worcestershire landscapes.
- Felicity Osborne's dynamic abstract paintings embrace creative freedom inspired by organic forms.
As for myself, Margaret Powell, my inspiration blossoms from the stunning local landscapes of Worcestershire. I aim to capture the delicate beauty of our seasonal flowers in natural, intimate home settings.
I'm also delighted to share that my painting, "Spirit of Malvern: Lantern Light," which received praise and a High Commendation at last week's En Plein Air Art Competition in Malvern, has recently been sold! While it's found a new home, I'm so pleased to be able to display it at the Barbourne Artists' Spring Exhibition until it closes this Sunday, May 18th. This is a fantastic opportunity to see it in person!
The exhibition is now in full swing, and we would be delighted to welcome you to Artery Studios to experience our diverse collection of artwork. Come and explore the unique perspectives and styles of all five Barbourne Artists!
