About Margaret Powell, Worcester Artist
For over 30 years, I have been capturing the essence of Worcestershire and beyond through my oil and acrylic paintings. My artwork ranges from vibrant local landscapes to intricate still-life paintings featuring seasonal Worcestershire flowers and heartwarming pet portraits. Each piece is a labour of love, meticulously crafted to inspire joy and a deep emotional connection with the beauty around us.
Although my artistic journey has been lifelong, I embarked on a new chapter last year by expanding my reach online through my new website and Etsy shop. Script Haven, a hidden gem in Worcester, a stone’s throw from Worcester Cathedral, is more than just an independent bookshop and café. Named one of the UK’s top three independent bookshops, it’s a sanctuary for book lovers and art enthusiasts. The owner, Leena, is a poet laureate who has crafted a space filled with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Leena’s dedication to supporting local writers, artists and makers shines through in the thoughtfully selected range of books and crafts available at Script Haven.
Here, you can find my greetings cards, mugs, and a selection of my limited edition cat prints, each piece reflecting the vibrant essence of my artwork. Collaborating with Leena and Script Haven has been a rewarding experience, allowing my work to be showcased in a space that values creativity and community.

Lillie And Dot in Worcester
Lillie And Dot, owned by the talented Alex, is an Aladdin’s cave of beautiful home furnishings, art and clothing. Alex is Annie Sloan paint stockist as well as providing custom furniture redesign services. Alex’s eye for beauty and design has transformed Lillie And Dot into a treasure trove where art and home decor seamlessly blend. Initially, Alex stocked my limited edition framed prints, and more recently, she has expanded her collection to include my greeting cards and mugs.
This collaboration has been a wonderful opportunity to see my art integrated into stylish home settings, bringing a touch of Worcestershire’s charm into everyday life. Alex’s support has been instrumental in reaching new audiences who appreciate the unique and personal touch my work adds to their homes.
