The Beauty of Nature and Mindfulness - Guest Blog

As an artist who seeks beauty in the smallest moments and simple items in our surroundings, I have found a kindred spirit in  a Worcestershire photographer turned mindfulness expert, Jenny Ainsworth. Jenny says: I've always had such a busy life with family and work commitments and have often been asked "how do you stay so calm?" "what's your secret"?

It's simple really...

I see beauty in the smallest details in nature which makes the biggest impact to me in my life as this creates everyday mindfulness moments, stillness for the mind, being present, living in that very moment, elevating your senses, time to just be..

From simply stopping and observing, often through the lens of my phone or camera, I capture the beauty everywhere, which leads to peace and serenity, can be just for a few moments, but this leads to reseting your mind and living a life you love, with gratitude and appreciation.

●Have you ever stopped still and watched a bee gathering pollen, its wings glide with such elegance and sheer magic? I do this often and capture in slow motion, add meaningful music and share so others can also take a moment to enjoy and feel calmness within their busy day..

●Have you watched the magic of a raindrop waiting to drop to the ground, the delicate magnifying waterdrop sparkling like a diamond.

●A cobweb with such a detailed pattern so delicate and amazing to the human eye.

I watch the sky change colours, as if I'm watching a favourite TV series, shapes and patterns, the colours changing, it's another world high above, you just need time to appreciate and love what's all around you, quiet times allows you to do so.

I've connected with many people through the love of nature and photography, which led me to Margaret’s artwork; a mindfulness moment captured in time…

Remember - mindfulness magical moments last a lifetime in the memory bank and can help when you feel anxious or stressed as the power of the mind can relive a beautiful moment leading to your nervous system calming organically.

Mastering mindfulness has led me to my sound meditation business where I bring spoken words of nature into my sessions along with therapeutic sounds, as I believe once you connect with nature and see it for it's beauty, you connect with your inner self, your soul and spirit, nature is the ultimate grounding tool.

Observation of nature inspires me to writing poetry, words that soothe the soul.. Others paint or listen to music. What will you choose?

So next time you are out for a walk, take a moment, look alittle closer, breathe and be mindful and see what creativity it may gravitate you towards ♡
