Green Room Rhapsody - Print

 This is a fine art print of an original oil painting (now sold), a heartfelt tribute to my favourite space in the house—my dining and music room. It’s a place steeped in warmth, history, and creativity. The walls are adorned with my personal artwork, a collection that spans years, lovingly framed in antique gilded frames I have gathered over time. Painted in Stiffkey Blue—a rich, deep green by Farrow & Ball—the walls create a sumptuous backdrop, bringing out the beauty of the artwork and adding a layer of timeless elegance.

A large early 19th-century mirror, purchased from a nearby estate auction, amplifies the charm of this room. It reflects not just the artwork but also the shifting light that fills the space, creating a mood that changes with the time of day. Whether bathed in soft natural light or glowing gently under candlelight, this room exudes an intimate, welcoming atmosphere—like a warm embrace.

The dark mahogany furniture, including our 140-year-old family piano, lends a sense of tradition and elegance. Polished to a mirror-like shine, its surfaces catch the light in a way that feels almost magical. Although electric light is available, the flicker of candlelight is often the room’s preferred illumination, enhancing its cosy yet refined character.

This painting serves as a tender reminder of the cherished moments shared in this space—with family, with friends, and with those we hold dear. It’s a celebration of connection, beauty, and the joy of gathering in a room filled with history, art, and love.

Print Information:

This is a signed limited edition print that is designed to fit a 15" x 12" or 16" x 20" picture frame with a mount (which is not supplied). The print is protected with acid-free tissue paper and is produced using archival premium quality Canon Lucia Pigmented ink. It's printed on 280gsm Soft White 25% Cotton Archival Fine Art Paper, which ensures a minimum display life of 100 years under normal conditions.

Additionally, each print is personally inspected, approved and signed by the artist.
