September Hike on the Malvern Hills original painting
September Hike on the Malvern Hills original painting
Personally, early autumn is one of the best times to visit the Malvern Hills. Of course, there isn’t a bad time to visit them as every single month there are many beautiful surprises around but there is something magical about the early autumn warm September weather when the colour palette is beginning to change from slightly worn out greens to warmer golds with the odd hint of red .
This particular view of the Malverns remains one of my firm favourites to date, which is why there are so many reincarnations of it in my paintings of every season you can imagine… I simply cannot stop myself from painting it!
Painted quite loosely and expressively, I wanted to show the dynamic nature of the changes of seasons between late summer and very early autumn in all its glory. This painting is a true window to the beauty of Worcestershire…
The design carries on down the sides so this painting can remain unframed.
