In this piece, I am inviting you into my favourite room in the house, a space created in a rich, moody colour palette. This is where I feel most at home, surrounded by objects that tell a story. My oil painting focuses on a traditional Victorian stone fireplace, its solid form a testament to enduring craftsmanship and the anchor of this beloved space. Atop the mantelpiece, my grandmother's treasured 1940s clock quietly marks the passing of time, while a vase of delicate hydrangeas adds a whisper of ephemeral beauty against the rich background.
Above the fireplace, my magnificent 160-year-old mirror takes centre stage, its ornate frame a gateway to a world beyond. It reflects a wall adorned with my own paintings in their golden frames, beckoning you to step into this private and creative space. This piece is my visual sonata, a harmonious composition of history, art, and personal reflection, all brought to life through the play of light on the deep, antique colours I admire so greatly.
Print Information:
This is a signed limited edition print that is designed to fit a 15" x 12" or 16" x 20" picture frame with a mount (which is not supplied). The print is protected with acid-free tissue paper and is produced using archival premium quality Canon Lucia Pigmented ink. It's printed on 280gsm Soft White 25% Cotton Archival Fine Art Paper, which ensures a minimum display life of 100 years under normal conditions.
Additionally, each print is personally inspected, approved and signed by the artist.
Prints are made to order and will be despatched within 20 working days of purchase.
