A late morning on the Malvern Hills, Worcestershire, in July… Perfect weather, sunny, yet retaining a degree of morning freshness. Unusually high levels of rain this spring and summer created the most luscious greenery, unparalleled in its vibrancy.

This impromptu hike resulted in a few more sketches and photos, from by which this painting was born.

The Malvern Hills to me equal a symphony in green, mindfulness personified and deity found in nature… My favourite place that continues to delight every time I visit.

The design carries on down the sides so this painting can remain unframed.
